ritual satan

Aartis have a dual purpose. Aartis is often used to label the Hindu ritual associated with an offering given to Hindu Gods which involves the circulation of an Aarti plate. Upon the Aarti plate is a wick that is flooded with ghee (in order to maintain the flame). Aartis are also the songs of sung in order to worship a specific Hindu deity. There are different Aartis relevant to the many Hindu Gods. They are normally sung as the Aarti plate is lit. The Aarti plate is a representation of the deity for which it has been lit for and it is believed to absorb the power of the deity into the flame. The flame that is lit on the Aarti plate is instrumental in conveying a blessing to those who come into close proximity to the plate.
